The Chronicles of My African Grey: pt II The Gender March 6 08

Yesterday I went to visit the baby Grey. It was a bit scared at first. He bit my wife (she acted like it was hard *rolls eyes*) due to being a bit scared. However, after about an hour of loving and caring time spent with it, he warmed up and even begun walking! Such a beautiful creature he is, masha’Allah . His feet are huge for his body mass, so he trips over them and has difficulty walking, but he did well. We sat him out on the table and he had a blast. Now comes the good news! We have learned the gender. Its a boy! So now, I have to come up with a name. If you have any suggestions, go ahead and post them. My wife suggested “Jundi”. So here are some of the latest pics with our little fella:

This is when we first got him out. He was a bit scared and nervous. I noticed that his wing feathers had gotten a lot thicker and longer and he was losing his fuzz. You can compare to the first post with pics of him. He is growing!

He was nervous around the camera. So this is his “what the hell is that” stare.

This is Layth putting his finger in his mouth. The little fella thinks that he’s about to be fed lol. Though you can’t see them, or maybe if you know what your looking for, he is also getting the stems for his chest feathers.

This is about an hour or more later. He has arisen! He was now being playful, loving, and walking! It was awesome. He is “investigating” the towel! Look at his butt! Do you see the RED? Yup! He is growing in his tail feathers! Very cool.

He was walking towards my hand. Notice how HUGE his feet are! He can barely walk they are so huge.
