I have started looking for a new job. Why? The following are the reasons:
- I work night shift: destroying my himmah.
- I deal with to much death: Depressing.
- It is hard to make Salah on time due to the sleep issue.
- I need to see more sun.
- I took a whole week off living the day shift life, and I felt a huge change in my spitual wellness.
- I need Allah
, and the way to build that relationship is through a job that is viable to my spiritual growth.
Night shift is a good way to kill one’s spiritual well being, especially with all the trash artificial lights. Make du’aa for me if you have time insha’Allah
.

Salamu ‘Alaykum Oh One Who Needs Allah
,
I just got back from my 3 day trip to Columbus Ohio. I attended a majlis for the mureeds (some non-mureeds) of Shaykh Nuh from the Midwest. There were maybe 15 brothers, a few kids, and I suppose some women - so my wife says.
The first day we met in the middle of the Columbus “hood”, Masjid Ar-Rahma. Its a Somali Qaadiri masjid. I was told the masjid is a year old (next time ill take some pics insha’Allah
). Let me tell ya, it is a beacon of light in a dark part of town. There were strip clubs, bars, and other evil institutions in the immediate surrounding blocks, yet in the middle of it all you see hundreds of Somali brethren dressed Muslimified with beards, joyous children walking to the masjid for the 5 prayers.

Take a good look at this picture. What is the effect on your stomach? Your saliva glands? Mouth watering? I know mine was! Umm Layth! Get cooking!

This was from an Indian Buffet here in Indiana - 100% Halal! Biryani, Lamb Curry, good bread, some “salad” mixture, mango lassi (out of site)! Yes ! Yes! Bring it on!

So after reading a few books and visiting a specific African Grey breeder several times, I decided to buy a newly hatched African Grey. Obviously it [Notice I use "it" in reference to the little fella. The gender is not certain yet. It will be sent out for sex testing in a few weeks insha'Allah
/God Willing. I will call it "him" on occassion because that is what I will do, get over it] has to be weaned, so we can’t have it in our home yet. Here are some pics:

This is “it” in its tote, with a warm blanket around it because it has no feathers! It is so tiny!

After many moons of wanting my very own blog, I decided to make the leep from a strictly “deeni” website, to that of a more personal one. I intend to state how I really feel in this blog. Alot of what I rant and rave about is simply ridiculous, and probably not so “religious”. I do not claim that my opinions are truth. This is my story unfolding, without interruption from cultists and infidels. What you may find on this blog may strike you as utterly ridiculous, but guess what - I don’t care. Now that we have that out of the way, let me begin by saying welcome and feel free to comment. I may take you seriously, and I may not, get over it either way!
